On Monday, tensions flared at #MIT as the university issued a 2:30 PM deadline for pro-Palestinian student protesters to vacate their encampment. Many protesters walked out of the encampment, but a large crowd of supporters, onlookers, and counter-protesters remained outside the fenced-in area. In a defiant move, the remaining protesters tore down the fencing around 6:00 pm and re-entered the encampment, forming a human chain. #MIT #protestsforpalestine #Boston
