On Saturday, June 15, Temple Station hosted the first annual Explorer Scholarship award to recognize the explorers who excelled in academics and community service. Congratulations to Explorer Sergeant Andrew Gamboa, Explorer Training Officer Rosa Coronel, and Explorer Wendy Xu for winning this year’s award. We extend our deepest gratitude to Mr. Tappan Zee, whose generous sponsorship made this scholarship possible. We also want to thank southelmontecitygov Mayor Gloria Olmos, Councilmembers Manuel Acosta, and Richard Angel for their invaluable support in awarding additional scholarship funds to Explorer Rosa Coronel.
