Under the current elected school board, HISD has made significant progress and improvement even as it continues to operate under a lack of adequate state funding. Replacing the elected officials representing the largest school district in Texas with outside managers is a blatant overreach of authority that disenfranchises HISD parents and the surrounding community at the cost of the students.
