Detailed peaks of the Dolomites 🏔 This particular peak, named Langkofel, is the tallest of the mountain range. We later discovered that these peaks were the site of many battles of World War I, as they straddle the Austrian and Italian borders. To this day, they are laden with tunnels that, I'd like to think, we were able to spot openings to, even from far away! Sitting at the foot of so much history was but one of many reasons that our quick trip up north was so worthwhile! #bealpine
