Last night was a testament to andre3000’s infinitely likable personality. Seeing him on stage 30 feet away playing the flute with a childlike joy was amazing… hearing him speak was even more inspiring… He told the story of picking up a flute and really falling in love with the instrument after a chance encounter with a stranger years ago “I’d wake up in the morning excited to play,” he said. There wasn’t an unhappy face in the crowd last night… every single person in the room was on his side, soaking in the melodies… They were hanging on to every Andre 3000 breath… and loving the imperfections of the craft His story is a story of reinvention but also of one of following your passion and leaning in to joy.
