Can you believe I took these photos using a self-timer? I pulled out my mini tripod and took these using a remote🙈 Looking back, doing this would’ve given me so much ANXIETY a few years back. I’ve had to learn how to do things on my own and how to be comfortable being by myself. I posted a story yesterday about how important it is to learn to be by yourself and got many messages asking how I learned to do this. To be honest, I just put myself in these situations often. I do feel anxious/uncomfortable, but the more I do it, the calmer I begin to feel. My recommendation would be to start slow. Begin by ordering a coffee (or any beverage/snack) at a coffee shop and sitting by yourself (not drive-thrus / walking away). Force to sit by yourself for 30 mins. It’s a solo coffee date :) Do this a few times and then progress to sitting at a restaurant for lunch/dinner by yourself. I tend to choose more casual spots, ask to be seated outside, and sometimes wear noise-canceling headphones...
