HEALTHY AIRFRYER TOSTONESšŸŒ Tostones (also known as patacones) are my FAVE. I usually don’t make them at home because I’m not too big into frying things— so i figured out how to make them in the airfryer! They are crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside. Dip them in sauce or top them with guacamole or pico de gallo. ✨Ingredients: 1-2 green plantains 3 tablespoons olive oil, divided Sea salt Preheat air-fryer to 350 F. Peel the plantains by removing the ends and scoring the sides to pull the peel with your hands. Slice plantains into 1 1/2inch-thick chunks and toss them in a bowl with 2 tbsp of olive oil. Place inside airfryer basket without overcrowding it and cook for 7 minutes. Remove from airfryer and place on top of a cutting board. Increase airfryer temperature to 400F. Mash the plantains using the bottom of a glass or mug until a 1/4-inch thick disc is formed.
