#repost dstinc1913 Every day is National Wear Red Day for members of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated! However, today we wear red to specifically raise awareness about cardiovascular disease. Cardiovascular disease is the number one killer of women, causing 1 in 3 deaths each year. Among Black women ages 20 years and older, nearly 58% have high blood pressure and only around 20% of those women have their blood pressure under control.
That is why we are proud to join our partners at american_heart to goredforwomen today and every day! As we educate and empower our communities about cardiovascular health, we also celebrate all survivors - including our Soror Chantrise Sims-Holliman.
