βHOW I DO 2D LIGHTING IN UNITYβ

I was looking back at the game before I put all the lighting in and while it was passable but π before, the 2D lighting really makes it pop dramatically, imo. So, here's how I do this:
1) Create/find a WHITE shape with faded edges and import it into Unity
2) Change the transparency aka Alpha to something lower
2.5) Store all the shapes in a light-container game object so I don't die of how many game objects exist
3) Change the color to be the color of the objects in that section
4) Layer shapes until it looks good
