Today we observe Cesar Chávez Day remembering the legacy and impact he had on the world as well as right here on our campus. Cesar Chávez had many deep and lasting relationships with UC Santa Cruz alumni, faculty and staff. He visited our campus multiple times where he spoke at rallies in The Quarry (pictured above on May 4, 1973) and intimate classroom discussions where he shared his passion for nonviolent social justice. #ucsc #ucsantacruz #cesarchavez
