“I never even changed oil in a car before building it,” wrote Factory Five customer Allen H. in an email to us sharing his 25th Anniversary Mk4 Roadster (#24 of 25) graduation. Allen is a retried emergency medicine physician, and his family presented him with the Mk4 as a gift to him from his family. Allen’s son, Nathan, always wanted to build a car with him, and the Mk4 soon became a family project with his other son, Nick, and their mom helping with the assembly. Their Roadster is powered by a Gen 3 5.0L Coyote, Tremec 6-speed transmission, and IRS. There is no chrome or stainless steel anywhere. Those pieces were either bronzed or powdercoated black.
