This makes me sick...and so mad...so I need to share. This video is from last Wednesday @ 10am in the driveway of my home. The red car pulls up, a guy jumps out, runs up and steals my friend’s car. It all took less than a minute, and we were right inside my house. Crazy. And scary. Unfortunately, car thefts like this have become a huge issue throughout the state of Connecticut over the past year. Usually, they’re minors who drive around and case out neighborhoods. Many times they are caught but the system here is overwhelmed so they get a quick slap on the wrist and are immediately released to go do it again, or commit worse crimes. Gotta love the system. Doesn’t matter where you live & how “safe” your neighborhood is. I’m angry for the huge inconvenience this is for my girlfriend, while most importantly, remaining thankful that everyone here is okay. Lessons? Always look out for your fellow neighbor, and never ever get too comfortable. 🙏🏽 #cartheft #connecticut
