Last month, our Student Ambassadors visited Chelsea to meet with Arnie Jarmak, the photographer of one of our current exhibitions: "Arnie Jarmak: Photographing Chelsea in Transition, 1977–89." Arnie was accompanied by his wife, Kathy, and childhood friend Ed Medros who also serves as the President of Walnut Street Synagogue. The group spent the morning exploring Chelsea and recreating iconic photos from "Photographing Chelsea in Transition." This recreation of "Reading the 'Record’" (1979) features John Mendizabal, '23, Courtenay Lutz, '24, Cina He, '25, and Sasha Jouldjian, '24.
