Who else is hearing Elsa's voice singing in their head to "let it go"? We've heard and seen from many educators who are able to maintain their school gardens during this time as a source of food for the community or to share progress with students through digital communication. But for many, the mantra this spring is to 'let it go' - and THAT IS OKAY! Our education specialist, Sarah, manages a school garden in Texas that was in full swing going into spring break. When the school closed, and she had to take on the added homeschooling challenge with her kids, she made a choice about the school garden - she let it go. Sarah potted up and re-homed the plants she could (like the tomatoes here) but the rest will be left to Mother Nature. If this resonates with you, you're going to want to read this full blog at the link in our profile. What does school closure look like for your garden? How have you adapted?
