This week’s #ArtistOnTheRise is Jamaican-born and Miami-raised producer and rapper, whoisbeam ⁣ ⁣ Tyshane Thompson was born in Kingston, Jamaica. He grew up around studios, music, and production by being the son of famous Reggae and Dancehall artist, Papa San. His father noted his son’s love for music at an early age, stating he always had this passion in him. Once he immigrated to Miami, FL, he began being credited as a producer in his teens.⁣ ⁣ Before being recognized as BEAM however, he was a part of the production duo “808&Elite” with his friend. His catalog between his solo production and 808&Elite stems back to 2010. His discography as a producer and songwriter includes working with major artists such as 2Chainz, 21 Savage, Yo Gotti, and Lecrae.
