GENRE RATION by YLee
The consumption of our insecurities and the need for validation
You look to my broken soul as a means to a confession
Empty but full at the same time
We are oxymorons... sane but insane crossing the dotted line
You think I am perfect but I am not and I think you are...
Amazing, but I missed a spot
We are both in search of our selves but we need a lot
Of time and we have it but we think we don’t
Time is an illusion a medium used as a crutch for excuses
But I think you’re perfect and you’re not
Social media was a good thing but it traps us now
Not me and you but the whole generation
We tend to follow a crowd
Phony lives on makeshift blogs
Our lives are canvases painted in invisible ink
I guess I missed a spot
Gradually fulfilling our everyday needs
We still look for validation from others who don’t hold the key
The key to our minds
This generation lacks the ability to access our sensitivities
Afraid of rejectio...
