You’ve heard of elf on the shelf, but have you heard about…dressing appropriately for varying degrees of weather?
Yeah, that’s right. Unless you’re a well-fed marmot bulking up for the winter, it’s important to choose the right clothing. Try something with a bit of wool. (Cotton absorbs moisture easily and won’t keep you warm if it gets wet.) The right clothing can also reduce the risk of frostbite, hypothermia, and being judged too harshly at the office Christmas party for wearing a sweater so ugly they cancelled the “ugly sweater contest” the moment you walked through the door. The party also ended early. (Someone’s an angry elf.)

🧥 Insulating outer layer with a hood - a wind and waterproof jacket will keep out wind, rain and wet snow
🎅 Hat - heat is often lost faster from the head
🧤 Gloves/Mittens - keep your fingers warm and prevent frostbite
🥾 Footwear - wearing wool socks and waterproof boots
