“A single mom who works two jobs, Who loves her kids and never stops…” - Reba One tough mama bear! Female bears generally spend up to 2.5 years with their young. Male bears are solitary and do not help in raising and would probably be more competition than help. Instead, with gentle paws and the heart of a fighter, mama bear will teach the cubs everything they need to know in order to survive, including foraging and hunting skills. Their lives are changing fast as she prepares them to move out of the den. What? They’re moving back in? I'm a survivor! P.S. Be especially cautious if you see a bear with cubs; never place yourself between a mother and her cub, and never attempt to approach them. Image: Grizzly bear with cubs in tow at denalinps.
