Visitor: “This place is not at all what I thought it would be.”
Us: We could say that about huge segments of our life. Umm, parks. We meant parks.
Surprise surprise. From unique landscapes to the most wild of wildlife, you never know what you'll find when you venture into national parks. (Hopefully, you’ve done some basic planning beforehand so you’re not completely surprised if a tour is booked, or you don’t lose a flip flop after a heavy rain carried it off and covered it with a thick layer of mud after you were trying to drive to the dock to get off the island before the dinosaurs run amok because you forgot to check the forecast.)
Focus. And we’re back. Even in the most visited national parks, there are unique and unexpected places, history, or activities to discover. Let us know a park that really surprised you, whether in its landscape, historical or cultural resources, or types of activities offered.
P.S. Anyone lose a flip flop?
