Some Black families in Atlanta whose children have been killed by police believe the DA is chasing fame and notoriety over addressing their cases. They believe Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis is too busy going after former the President Trump and rappers over rap lyrics instead of prosecuting real issues in Atlanta like police brutality. Willis never responded to our repeated requests for an interview, but has previously said she inherited a backlog of 11,000 cases and another 50,000 that weren’t properly closed by the previous DA.
