Making a batch of beef stock (bone broth). Stock is made from bones and broth is made from meat. I always call this beef stock but the social media trend name is bone broth. Call it whatever you want. Onion, carrot, celery and any scraps I have from the week. I save these in a bag in the fridge. Had some elephant garlic and onion skins etc. Play around with aromatics and seasonings, it’s fun. I’ve made batches with fresh rosemary, thyme and other herbs. I also have made batches like this one with only dry herbs and seasonings. Find what you like and always salt at the end. Roast everything together in a 400 oven for 25 minutes and make sure to rub the bones with tomato paste. Simmer everything together for 12 hours. Can simmer it shorter but at least let it go for 5-6 hours. You can use the leftover veggies and bones for compost if you want to go deep down the no waste rabbit hole. #bonebroth #broth #stock #beefstock #homemade #cooking #easy
