LEARN and PERFECT your Kettlebell swing in 3 simple steps. __ Step 1: Own the set-up The set-up is the foundation of the Kettlebell swing. Don't just expect to pick up a heavy bell and get it moving without first setting yourself up for success to do so. Start with the weigth directly under your hips with your feet shoulder width. Take two steps back from the bell. Bend at your hips maintaining a straight spine then bend your knees only enough to get your hands to the handle. Now you're ready for movement! Step 2: Pendulum swing From the above position, "hike" the kettlebell back to your imaginary quarterback then elevate the bell by standing tall and assertively. It's helpful to think about contacting your wrists to your inner thighs vs your forearms when doing so. Let the bell fall with gravity and return it to the ground and back to your start position.
