Welcome to the team, Dana Allen! Dana joins Special Olympics Tennessee as the Middle Tennessee Regional Manager. He'll work closely with area directors, athletes and families throughout the region. More about Dana: Born and raised in the northwest corner of Milwaukee, he began playing sports at a young age. His love of sports came from his Father, Billy, and Mother, Robin. This love of sports led to a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. After graduation, Dana pursued a career in sports and recreation, working as a sports director and program lead at the YMCA, Metro Parks disABILITIES Program and Special Olympics. Two decades ago, he relocated to Middle Tennessee, where he has continued to positively impact the community. His love for Special Olympics began at a young age when his father asked him to be a referee in an SO basketball tournament. Since then, he has been deeply committed to the organization.
