The witches of Portland will not paddleboard down the Willamette River together this Halloween season, at least not in a large, organized event, unless a witch fairy godmother appears to take over the popular event. In a post on Facebook last month, Ginny Kauffman, organizer of Portland Stand Up Paddleboard Witches on the Willamette, said she would no longer run the paddle due to safety concerns.
