China has built a 1,100ft escalator costing $2.2 million that takes visitors up Tianyu Mountain in Zhejiang Province – and it even sprays mist on them to keep them cool. Tourists disembark the escalator a short distance from the top of the 980ft high peak. From there, it’s a short walk to the summit. The 10-minute ride costs 30 Chinese yuen ($4.32) and it’s proving incredibly popular, with videos and images showing the escalator packed to capacity. #tourism #china #escalator #mountains #news
