Veteran USMNT defender Tim Ream wants to keep going and play in the home 2026 World Cup. He’s also aware of the reality with his age.
“I’m not stupid. I’m gonna be 37 years old this week, and the World Cup is a year and a half away,” Ream said in an interview with GOAL today.
“If I’m there, amazing. If not, there’s not a whole lot I can complain about, right?”
“I can’t sit there and feel hard done by because I’ve lived it. I’ve played in a World Cup, I’ve been with this program for 14 years.”
“Either you’re going to be here or you’re going to be replaced. I don’t care what anybody says, EVERYBODY can be replaced.”
“Whether it’s now, or the next camp. Whether it’s during the Nations League or the World Cup, everybody can be replaced at some point.”
