let’s make QUESILLO 🍮 a Venezuelan flan that’s better than flan - if that’s even possible! this melt-in-your-mouth custard dessert topped with caramel is very easy to prepare and really makes everyone happy 🙂it’s my go-to for holidays or when i’m missing home. save this post and make it asap.
ingredients:
~ for the caramel: melt 1 cup of granulated sugar over medium low heat, stirring constantly until dissolved, about 7 min. Pour sugar into a 6” mold, coating the sides.
~ for the quesillo: in a blender combine 4 eggs, 1 14 oz can condensed milk, fill the empty can with whole milk, and 2 tsp vanilla extract. blend until fully combined. Pour mixture into mold, cover with foil and place in a water bath. Bake at 350°F for 1 hour and 15 min. Cool and refrigerate for 4-8 hours. Slide a knife around the edges of the mold to loosen and invert onto a plate.
