If you, like us, love it when niche scams become full-blown internet dramas, you’re probably familiar with the Sydney Crumbl fiasco. The short version of the story is that some Australians flew to the US, bought hundreds of Crumbl cookies, flew back to Australia, and sold each cookie for $17.50 AUD ($11.90 USD) at an unauthorized Crumbl pop-up. Obviously, after the cookies had to be transported back to Australia and cleared by customs, they were several days old, which explains why many TikTok review videos reported that they were *not* worth the hype. So, we couldn’t help but to wonder: Did anyone win in this cross-continent bake sale? The organizers claim the pop-up wasn’t about making a profit but we decided to crunch the numbers anyway. For the full 🫖, a breakdown of the operation’s costs (which the organizers shared), and the response from the official crumblcookies, tap the link in our bio. ✍️: opheligarcialawler 📸: crumblcookies #crumbl #crumblcookies #CrumblAustralia
