This is one aspect of my life & gymnastics career I have not been as open about. Meanwhile it was one of the most difficult yet impactful parts of my journey. I love to share my journey by reflecting on the sport that got me to where I am. This part hits close to home and forces me to be more vulnerable than I have been. It was one of the hardest yet best decisions of my life and I have learned so much in the years following it. I am still working through my autoimmune disease and it really frustrates me at times. I know I have been blessed with a platform to use my experience to help others it would be a disservice on my part if there is another athlete struggling with this alone.
