yk what’s crazy, i get PR sent to me in the wrong shade all the time believe it or not…from some of my fav brands too 😪 and i always thought welp i just have to make it work cause that’s how it’s always been especially with a neutral undertone, and just being black tbh. and no i’m not talking about wrong shades being sent due to a factory issue, but blatant disregard for black creators and basically telling them “figure it out”. i caught myself giving these brands excuses when i received a bronzer from @yslbeauty that couldn’t work for my skin tone at all and was like welp i’ll just give it to my sister then…you see the issue here. this is why i will always stand beside @golloria and the work that she does in the beauty space. not only does she call out these brands and have them get in the lab and fix the nonsense they put out, but her work makes me reflect and clock myself as a black creator too. receiving pr is cute and all, i loveeee it, but i too should stop making excuses ...
