This high protein APPLE CINNAMON BREAD is the perfect healthy fall snack, dessert, or even breakfast! 🍎🍂🥧
Makes 9 servings: ~165 calories, 10g protein, 26g carbs, 3g fat each slice
Dry ingredients:
- 2 cups oats blended into flour
- 1/2 cup promix vanilla protein powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp cinnamon
Wet ingredients:
- 1 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/3 cup milk
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 small apples, peeled & diced
How to:
- preheat your oven to 375F
- combine all dry ingredients
- in a separate bowl whisk together wet ingredients
- pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until there are no clumps
- fold diced apple into batter, saving 1/2 aside for topping
- pour into a lined 8x8 or loaf pan and top with the rest of the diced apple (optional: swirl in a few tbsp of almond butter)
