USMNT legends Landon Donovan and Tim Howard are busy in their post-playing careers, with Donovan now coaching NWSL side San Diego Wave, and Howard being the minority owner of Houston Dynamo and Houston Dash while working for NBC Sports.
They’ve found time to do a podcast together though and in their first episode, they spoke about the current state of USMNT and their former coach Bruce Arena.
“Talking about the quarterfinal against Jamaica, this should not be a contest. I understand all about the challenges with travel and whatever, but it’s Jamaica man,” Donovan said.
“We beat Panamá few weeks ago. Everyone was going crazy and then we looked terrible against México. This is a two-legged series that we need to win and win convincingly.”
“Without being disrespectful, this should be a lap right? In terms of talent standpoint, the U.S. should take care of business,” Howard said.
