Join Moorpark PD Explorers for the "Save the Plate" Event! The Moorpark Police Department and the Moorpark Explorer Post will be hosting a free “Save the Plate” event this Saturday 11/19/2022. The event will be held in the northwest corner of the Target parking lot located at 800 New Los Angeles Avenue in the City of Moorpark from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. Criminals steal license plates for a variety of reasons. One of the main reasons is that the thief mounts the stolen license plate on their vehicle to help mask their criminal activity. The Moorpark Police Department and Explorers want to help solve this problem, combat crime, and help protect the residents of Moorpark and surrounding county areas. To accomplish this, Moorpark Deputies and Explorers will replace your standard license plate bolts and screws with stainless steel tamper resistant screws and fasteners free of charge.
