Does your speed work prepare you for exposures that you’ll see on the field?
The fun part about the end of a training season is gamifying and layering our speed work. Whether it’s a varied entry for a max velocity or acceleration rep, it would be negligent of a coach to disregard multidirectional sprint reps.
At the end of the day, it is our job to make sure that our athletes are exposed to what they might see in a game situation, and adding layers like lasers or partner races ensures that they will give each rep max effort.
