SHP students along with teachers Kristen Kelly and Serene Williams presented this week at the National Council of Social Studies about their proposal for an AP United States Women’s History course. “Women’s history is insufficiently covered in current AP history courses. It’s time for women’s history to be learned,” says the group. While on the East Coast, they also conducted research at the Schlesinger Library on the History of Women in America, uncovering the stories of historically underrepresented women leaders to enrich the course curriculum.
