About last night. 💕 Cyndi Lauper was my spirit animal and idol growing up. She made it OK to feel like an outcast in my conservative community where I never fit in. She was a message to millions of young people like me to embrace our true colors…that it was fine (in fact a good thing) to not fit the norm…to embrace our weirdness and feel beautiful not in spite of it but because of it! I love that song the most of all of them. Although girls do really wanna have fun too... Especially when you get to spend the evening with soul friends who are as weird (and as comfortable with their glorious weirdness) as you are🤣🥰!cyndilauper #girlsjustwannahavefun
