He became the first horse to win the race in consecutive years since Transcend (Wild Rush) was successful in 2010 and 2011, back when it was run as the Japan Cup Dirt. A six-time Group 1 winner, amongst his 13 wins from 18 career starts, he now retires to Darley Japan. “Lemon Pop is a strong horse–he has won six out of six Group 1-class races in Japan–and there’s no other horse like him, and I’m proud to have been on his back.” Bred in Kentucky by Mr. & Mrs. Oliver S.
