Chocolate cakes
1 stick + 5tbsp unsalted butter plus more for pan
1.5 cups granulated sugar (the recipe calls for 2 cups brown sugar originally)
5 large eggs
3/4 cup cacao
1 tbsp espresso
3/4 cup hot water
6 oz dark chocolate
8 oz sour cream or plain yogurt
1 + 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
Preheat the oven to 350°F Butter a bundt cake pan, and set aside.
Sift cocoa powder, into a medium bowl, add dark chocolate, espresso, and boiling water, and whisk until the cocoa is completely dissolved. After 5 min. add sour cream and whisk to combine. Set aside to cool.
Sift together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl and set aside. In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, cream butter on medium speed until light and fluffy.
