We all do our best as parents to provide unconditional care and help our kids be successful in the future. ➡️💭
However, as life becomes busier and more stressful, a child’s emotional development often becomes less important. And good mental health is the KEY to lifelong mental health. It is all about building resilience, coping skills, and grit so kids have the problem-solving skills to deal with whatever comes their way!
Mental disorders such as anxiety, OCD and depression are certainly on the rise, yet parents are often prioritizing their child’s good academic performance instead of getting their child the help they really need. I get it! They think that if their kid is doing okay in school, they can’t be struggling inside. That just isn’t the case!
Everyday, I see even the most well meaning parents inadvertently worsen their child’s mental health and here are some of the biggest mistakes I see being made. 😞
