Yesterday, the Fashion Workers Act by the ModelAllianceNY was signed into law by GovKathyHochul, setting a precedent for progress and justice in the $2.5 trillion fashion industry. This legislation underscores the value of treating all workers with dignity and respect.   In 2021, the Model Alliance was first to receive the Positive Social Influence Award at the #CFDAAwards, accepted by founder SaraZiff and presented by renowned models Carré Otis and Beverly Johnson. The CFDA is proud to have supported the Model Alliance in their efforts and are inspired by its advocacy and dedication to creating a safer, fairer, and more equitable industry.   Congratulations again the Model Alliance and all who championed this cause.
