Today marks the 51st anniversary of the Endangered Species Act! 🎉🎂 The Act is one of the world's most powerful legal tools for protecting species at risk of extinction — more than 99% of the species under its care have been saved or are on the road to recovery. The Act is the reason there are #baldeagles on the wing from coast to coast, #grizzlybears roaming the Rocky Mountains, #seaturtles swimming in the ocean, American #alligators sunning in the Southeast, whooping cranes flying across the Great Plains, and black-footed ferrets playing in the intermountain prairies. This work is far from over, but the #EndangeredSpeciesAct still shows the best path forward for saving life on Earth for future generations to come. 🌎 ✨
