As a law professor at the University of California, Berkeley, Megan Graham got to work with advanced students to solve legal problems for real-life clients. And more and more of those calls, she noticed, were coming from the Midwest.
So she decided to go where the clients were.
In January, Graham joined the uiowa Law School as an associate clinical professor. She's there to launch and direct the law school's new Technology Law Clinic, allowing second- and third-year students to work directly on matters involving the government's use of technology in people's lives.
As Graham's clinic kicks off its first full year, she says she wants it to be a tool to help lawmakers and other officials understand how technology can directly impact people's lives, and to ensure that rural and Midwestern perspectives are heard by policymakers.
