Apple has agreed to a $95 million settlement with users whose private conversations were unintentionally recorded by Siri and possibly overheard by human reviewers. The settlement could provide up to $20 per eligible device, Bloomberg reported.
If approved, the settlement will apply to US-based individuals who owned or purchased Siri-enabled devices—such as iPhones, iPads, Apple Watches, MacBooks, iMacs, HomePods, iPod Touches, or Apple TVs—between September 17, 2014, and December 31, 2024. Users must also be able to prove that Siri was accidentally activated during a private conversation they intended to remain confidential.
