JV-A KNIGHTS 37, RAPTORS 8: The girls JV-A basketball team beat LASA in the Raptors’ home gym on Dec. 13. Powered by a third quarter in which she scored 13 points, junior Evelyn Jenkins led the Knights in scoring with 18 points. Freshman Lily Wolfgang scored eight in the victory. Sophomore Naomi Wallace thinks the game was successful for the team and helped them improve. “The team has improved a lot since the beginning of the season,” Wallace said. “We didn’t do a very good job at keeping our energy up in our past games, but we’ve been doing way better at having more energy.” Wallace said that while the team is making progress, there is still room for improvement. “Something we can work on is our defense positioning,” Wallace said. “We also learned a new play that we need to keep working on.” As the season has gone on, the players have learned how to work together as a unit. “The highlight of the game for me was when we were in our press and my teammate Evelyn Jenkins kept forci...
