Three rescue dogs were stuck in their home, alone, as the Palisades Fire closed in. Their owners were out of town and their dog sitter was stuck because of the fires. While Andrea Pasinetti did everything he could to get home in time to save them, he was unable to enter his
#PacificPalisades neighborhood. That’s when his wife saw CBS News’ Jonathan Vigliotti reporting on the
#wildfires from a nearby school.
The couple found a way to contact Jonathan and he and his producer did not hesitate to spring into action. They decided to attempt a miracle: Find the home, break in and get the
#dogs to safety. Risking their lives to save the dogs of a stranger.
They broke into the home where they found three – likely terrified – dogs. And they managed to save all three.
“The generosity and kindness and risk that they put themselves through to get the dogs was really — I think it’s the best that humanity has to offer,” Pasinetti told CBS News.
