bye TikTok 👋🏼 The TikTok ban doesn’t affect me as a Canadian, but it still does feel like the end of an era being a creator who built my platform there with a mainly US audience. I was never a creator with a huge following but I LOVED the community I was able to reach. I really enjoyed creating #careertok content about being a woman in the workplace - being part of those discussions and debates truly reshaped my perspective on work. 
 That community got me through some tough times in my career, especially after getting laid off. I made so many amazing connections purely from the fact that I was telling stories about my career experiences. It was just a bonus that I learned so many valuable skills as a creator and was able to make a decent income from it. Partnering with brands I admired for years and being featured in publications was another cherry on top. The majority of my paid content creator work (if not all, actually) has been because of TikTok. Who knows if it’s coming b...
