Veganuary day 15 🧆 Falafel 🧆 These are the crispiest, greenest falafel around and they’re the putting thing to put aside differences over but I’m SURE the comments will convince me otherwise 😂 To make, you need: 500g dried chickpeas 1 handful of coriander (cilantro) 1 handful of parsley 1 onion 1 clove of garlic 1tbsp salt 1tsp cumin 1tsp dried coriander 1tbsp sesame seeds 1tsp of baking soda (bicarbonate) Oil for frying -soak 500g dried chickpeas overnight in water, do not use canned chickpeas as the falafel won’t hold -blitz up the chickpeas with a handful of coriander (cilantro) and parsley, 1 onion and 1 clove of garlic -once they’re ground up, add in a mix of 1tbsp salt, 1tsp cumin and dried coriander, 1tbsp sesame seeds and 1tsp of baking soda (bicarbonate) -add it to the falafel mix and add flour until the balls hold -fry them in oil until golden brown on the outside -I served mine in a pita with some hummus, Israeli salad (cucumber, tomato, red onion, parsley and sumac) an...
