🎨 Where art meets poetry: Our first graders recently embarked on a magical journey through the MetMuseum! In line with their "How We Express Ourselves" unit, our Lions have been focusing on Poetry and Art, learning about a diverse array of styles like expressionism and pointillism as they prepare for their upcoming project in art class - creating watercolor poem paintings to go with their very own poetry works from their Language Arts classes. During their trip, they followed the whispers of water through ancient civilizations, discovering hidden fountains in the Roman, Greek, Japanese, Chinese, Egyptian, and American Wings. Their mission? Understanding the fluid beauty of watercolor as they prepare for their own poetry-inspired paintings! The grand finale?
