Driven by three-time Indianapolis 500 winner Bobby Unser, this one-of-a-kind car was used to setup the speed record car, which set a record speed of 332 km/h (206.3 mph), at the Talladega Superspeedway on March 24, 1986. Acquired from Audi for the vendor’s family collection, it is now offered without registration documents—a piece of motorsport history ready for its next chapter.
Originally built to break world speed records and showcase Audi’s innovative all-wheel-drive technology, this 5000 CS Quattro was heavily modified with lightweight materials, aerodynamic refinements, and a strengthened 2.2-liter five-cylinder turbocharged engine producing a staggering 650 bhp. Bobby Unser described the car as feeling “superglued to the road,” even at over 200 mph.
