I traveled to Jordan in the Middle East to go fishing for Giant Squid and swordfish. I was fishing with Dr. Marwan in the Gulf of Aqaba, a branch of the Red Sea. These are ancient waters surrounded by four different nations. We were fishing in over 2,000ft (700 meters) of water using electric Penn reels. On our first day, our goal was to catch my first giant Humboldt squid. On our second day of fishing, I was using huge squid as bait to catch a larger, more aggressive predator in the ocean. Swordfish love eating squid, and I was shocked to see how easily a swordfish can swallow a giant Humboldt Squid. I was using the giant Humboldt Squid as live bait for the swordfish. On my final day, I saw a Swordfish attack a giant Humboldt Squid. After catching a few squid, I threw a topwater squid lure to catch one on the surface, and a squid attacked the lure! I released that squid and dropped another bait down. While bringing the next squid up, we noticed a swordfish following it to the boat!...
